The idea of this site is to share with you the enjoyment I have had over many years of involvement with trains of all types. Although perhaps biased towards the modelling of railways I will not ignore the real things as they are the inspiration behind the models.

Introduction
Layouts featured will be
1) YUCCA SPRINGS - an American layout set in Southern California.
2) TEMSFORD - A DCC controlled British modern image layout.
3) TEMSFIELD - A British layout which is being converted from Yucca Springs and will run stock from the blue era up to the present time.
4) YUCCA SPRINGS (new version).
This layout is on hold for the time being. Updates will appear in my blog for now.
From time to time "visiting layouts" may be included to add variety.
ABOUT ME
As you can see I was introduced to trains at an early age. Many, many (too many to count) years later and the interest is still there. Over the years I have been watching, chasing !!, photographing and modelling trains.
I have also bought and sold them so I have a reasonable knowledge of the subject.

Not exactly a visiting layout but one from the 1980's which I was involved in.
WOBURN SANDS was an N gauge layout set in the 1960's.
It was frequently shown at exhibitions in the Chilterns area for several years.

These next 2 photos are also from the Woburn Sands layout, taken at the opening of the North Beds N Gauge group club hut. (see my blog "A NEW ERA" about this.)
Apologies for the quality as they are taken from scans of black & white photos I have recently found.
In a recent blog "A New Era", I mentioned the Beyer-Garrett locos that the late Charlie Griffiths built. Here are 3 photos of them.
The first shows his own on his layout Kimtown.
The other photos are the one he built for me.
